After doing a bunch of calling around and actual physical visits to various storage companies, I found U-Lock Mini Storage to have the best hours of accessibility to fit with my schedule, although it did seem to cost a little more than the other places. To me, the convenience of the longer hours was worth it. Both opening and closing my account were hassle-free: I didn't have to commit to any contract, and my account was closed the same day I emptied my unit. It was easy to pay my bill online via their website, and I appreciated that I could ask for monthly emailed payment due reminders. Nice touch. The storage grounds, building and unit itself are very clean, and the building is temperature-controlled. It was so handy to have the trolleys available to transport my stuff back and forth too. I felt safe accessing my unit even during late evening hours, because the security seemed really good. Besides the storage grounds being well-lit, there is a coded gate onto the property, a coded door into the storage building, as well as several surveillance video cameras. Very positive storage experience. Highly recommend.

I rented a locker this last year, and was so happy with the customer service, security, dry/warm locker, as well as the cleanliness of the facility! I am hope ful to not have to use storage space again, but if I have to or a friend, I would highly recommend this facility in Nanaimo.
